THE BRIEF
Bring the convivial atmosphere of Mediterranean dining into an urban restaurant in Zurich. Designed by Zafer Kaymaz in 2018, the concept connects the entrance, bar and dining areas for both informal gatherings and longer meals.
THE APPROACH
A show-kitchen counter and pizza oven make food preparation part of the experience. Timber tables, upholstered benches and varied seating introduce warmth, while an exposed ceiling and restrained lighting lend an industrial character. Large glazed openings connect the interior with the street.
THE DESIGN
Outdoor seating draws on the social character of Italian streets and squares. Circulation, comfort and a consistent material palette shape a relaxed restaurant identity.
