Galatalı Restaurant Tavern

Taverns are one of the places where a culture continues in the most subtle way. What is experienced, talked about and the atmosphere of the place are more than enough to tell the story of the period and the social process. In taverns, the decor of the place is as decisive as what is eaten and drunk and the crowd that comes. Most of the taverns in Istanbul are remembered by their decor elements rather than the name or manager of the place. Galatalı Tavern is located on the terrace floor with its very special location and meaning. Everything from the table and chair arrangement to lighting, from the use of color to sound and noise control, from ventilation to fire control and from there to the barrier-free design for everyone was done meticulously. The role and importance of tavern lighting in telling spatial stories was also taken into consideration.
